Whale watching and underwater fishing (arrangements made by concierge, Tarifa)

Daily outings in offshore waters allow visitors to observe whales in their natural setting. Frequently spotted off our coast are Pilot Whales, Orcas, Dolphins, Sperm Whales, as well as turtles and other marine life.

Visit of the Old Town of San Roque

Declared a Historical-Artistic Monument, a visit to San Roque must include taking in the sights of Calle San Felipe, the Plaza de Toros, the old town hall, parks and plazas. Guided tours take place daily.

Archaeological sites

Carteia: City founded by the Phoenicians at the mouth of the Guadarranque River between San Roque and the Bay of Algeciras.

Barbésula: A hilltop Roman villa outside of Pueblo Nuevo, near the Guadiaro River estuary.

Pinar del Rey

This 360-hectare park is located in the centre of San Roque and features two great walking paths, the Tajo del Pajarraco (3.6 kilometres each way, 1.5 hours) and the Cerro del Águila (5 kilometres roundtrip, 2 hours).

The route of the White Towns (Between the mountains and the sea)

A route that will take you through 42 towns located in the provinces of Cadiz and Malaga. Be sure to stop in Los Barrios, Castellar de la Frontera, Jimena de la Frontera, Ronda, Gaucín, Alcalá de los Gazules, Arcos de la Frontera, Casares, and elsewhere.

Baelo Claudia Archaeological Complex

Located on the Bolonia inlet in Tarifa, this is a great example of the Roman empire’s building style. Visitors can see the forum, theatre, baths and the necropolis. Guided visits are possible year-round.

Alcornocales Natural Park

Straddling the border between Cadiz and Malaga provinces, this 170,025-hectare park features the largest forest of the Mediterranean basin, with cork oaks, holly trees, coastal forests and the last remaining relics of tropical vegetation in Europe. Bird watching, panoramic views and 12 hiking trails welcome visitors.

Castellar Zoo

This small zoo, located in the middle of the Alcornocales Natural Park, is just a ten-minute drive from the hotel.

“SELWO” Safari

Located in Estepona, the Selwo Safari is open everyday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The park features 2000 free-ranging animals and has daily shows, walking tours and vehicle safaris.
